On Wednesday, the World Ultimate Club Championships website was updated to reflect that two teams off of the Worlds waitlist — both from the United States — have been offered and have accepted bids to Italy this summer.
Those two teams are Denver Johnny Bravo and Austin Showdown, the fourth place finishers at this year’s National Championships.
Both teams will represent the United States in Lecco, Italy for WUCC 2014.
With rumors buzzing that many international teams still have not paid to confirm their bid, it is possible that more bids may still come to the US in the Mixed and Masters divisions.
Boston Wild Card would get the Mixed bid; Denver Johnny Encore would get the Masters bid.
Bravo and Showdown join the top 3 finishers from each division — no more US men’s and women’s teams are on the wait list.
