ONE4ONE is simple: get a disc, send a disc to a school in Ukraine or Russia.

Toronto GOAT and Rush player Anatoly Vasilyev knows how tough it can be for underprivileged youth ultimate players to get access to equipment in Eastern Europe. Combine that with the recent political conflict in the region and it’s even tougher.

So Vasilyev launched a new Indiegogo campaign — ONE4ONE — to help get discs into the hands of Ukrainian and Russian children and teenagers. For $22, you can purchase a custom Discraft Ultrastar, and get a copy sent out to a Russian or Ukrainian school.

“When you contribute to ‘DISC ONE4ONE’ you get yourself a professional Ultimate disc while also helping kids in another part of the world stay healthy, active, and learn the importance of respect for one another through sport,” Vasilyev writes on the campaign page. “Hopefully these lessons will keep them healthy and active, and foster better relationships and behavior in their everyday lives.”

The simplicity of the project is appealing: get a disc, send a disc to Eastern Europe. (Though you can also just send a disc for $12).

ONE4ONE is being flexibly funded but hopes to reach a goal of $6,600. As of this writing, $468 has been pledged. Go to the Indiegogo page to check out all of the donation options and some excellent top tier perks. Here’s the project video:
