D-III Men’s Discussion

  • Welcome Michigan Tech to the rankings, who broke out at D-III Midwestern Invite, finishing 3rd and defeating Brandeis. They joined at #11.
  • Davidson toppled from #16 to unranked after big losses to Bates and Williams at Oak Creek Invite highlighted a rough weekend. For a team that peaked at #5, it’s been a serious decline.
  • Whitman moved up two spots to #2 after making the final at D-III Midwestern Invite. Their loss there to Air Force was their only defeat of the weekend.
  • Oberlin, Bates, and St. Olaf all made their way into the top 25, at #20, #23, and #25, respectively. Oberlin fared nicely at D-III Midwestern Invite, Bates took one from aforementioned Davidson, and St. Olaf went 5-2 at D-III Midwestern Invite.
  • Wheaton dropped from #8 to #12 after some underwhelming wins and a semifinals loss to Michigan Tech at D-III Midwestern Invite.
  • Puget Sound, Franciscan, and Missouri S&T all fell out of the top 25.

D-III Women’s Discussion

  • Grinnell returned to the rankings at #20 after a two week absence. They reached the final of DIII Midwestern Invite and beat every D-III team they faced.
  • New to the rankings at #24, Brandeis earned a spot with a solid showing at Capital City Shootout, where they went 3-1, beating William & Mary, the only team to beat them. It’s Brandeis’s first time in the top 25.
  • SUNY-Geneseo and Oberlin, the last two teams, dropped out of the rankings after inaction, making room for newcomers.
