High School Power Rankings: Post-Indy Invite Edition [4/12/18], Presented By Universe Point

Welcome to the fourth edition of the 2018 High School Power Rankings, presented by Universe Point cleats! The rankings can be permanently found on our Youth Rankings page.

Some youth teams have not played yet this season, so these rankings are still evolving. They will continue to change during the course of the spring. The rankings will eventually be used to determine invitations to the 2018 High School National Invite; currently, we plan to use the rankings published the week of May 7th as the final rankings before final bids are sent out (many bids have been and will be sent out on a rolling basis).

If you have additional information about tournaments or team strength that you would like to be considered for the High School Power Rankings, please email [email protected].

Teams, if you would like to add logos and team information to your Team Pages, follow these instructions!

Without further ado, here are the Top 25 teams in the Boys’ and Girls’ High School Divisions!

Notes

  • Lexington Pi, a homeschoolers team out of Kentucky, has really proven to be the real deal this season as they went into Indianapolis and hung losses on #9 Neuqua Valley and #10 Center Grove. Their top end talent is some of the best in the country.
  • The only other major move this weekend was Mason re-entering the Top 25 after a solid performance at Indy Invite. Neuqua and Center Grove basically stayed put after playing mostly to expectations.
  • The season really heats up in the next few weeks with Neuqua Knockout, league play in northern parts of the country, and Paideia Cup and Amherst Invite looming in May.

Notes

  • Nathan Hale got a big win, 9-8, over Roosevelt in Seattle league play to shoot up the rankings this week. While Roosevelt was missing a couple of key starters, credit goes to Hale where credit is due.
  • Berkeley slides up a spot after getting an impressive tournament win at the Davis Ultimate Invite, a college event.
  • Hopkins enters the rankings at #25 as Minnesota league play gets set to start today.
  • The season really heats up in the next few weeks with Neuqua Knockout, league play in northern parts of the country, and Paideia Cup and Amherst Invite looming in May.
