The 2020 American Ultimate Disc League Championship Weekend is heading back to Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday, August 7th, and Saturday, August 8th.

Madison has been home to two previous Championship Weekends, setting the single-game attendance record in 2016 during the Madison Radicals’ semifinal and the CW ticket sales record in 2018.

“Madison is one of our favorite places to host events,” said AUDL Commissioner Steve Hall in a statement. “The incredible ultimate fans and a venue in the heart of downtown make it an ideal location for our biggest event of the season.”

This year, the league is moving from a Saturday/Sunday format to a Friday/Saturday one, with night games planned for both days. The Championship game will start at 7:00 PM on Saturday. Start times for the semifinals have not been finalized. Past AUDL championships have always been midday on Sunday and generally have drawn smaller crowds than the Saturday semifinals.

The Premier Ultimate League’s first Championship Weekend last year was a Friday/Saturday format, though the final on Saturday was held at 12:30 PM.

In last year’s AUDL Championship, the New York Empire defeated the Dallas Roughnecks 26-22 to win their first title.
