World Games Implications

WUGC 2020 is also a qualifier for World Games 2021 in Birmingham, Alabama in The United States. There are eight spots at the World Games in 2021. Points are awarded to each nation based on how all of the three teams (Women’s, Open, and Mixed) do at WUGC. Therefore it is extremely difficult to rank highly for World Games qualification unless a country has all three teams at WUGC. The following nations have teams in all three divisions and are most likely to be the contenders for the World Games:

  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Colombia
  • Czech Republic
  • France
  • Germany
  • Great Britain
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Netherlands
  • New Zealand
  • Russia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • United States of America1

  1. The United States has an automatic spot because they are the host nation of the World Games
