D-I Women’s Discussion
- We get a slight reshuffle in the back end of the top 10 this week, as Tufts’ upset of Vermont in the New England regional final moves Ewo up a couple spots while Ruckus slip the same amount. UC San Diego and Stanford split a pair of games at Southwest Regionals and both move up one place, bumping Brigham Young just outside the top 10.
- While the season is now over for both teams, Oregon‘s win over Western Washington in the Northwest drops Chaos down to #16 behind Fugue.
- The intrepid short roster of Appalachian State ran out of gas at Regionals, losing three games to finish fifth in the Atlantic Coast and finishing their season outside the Top 25. Also falling out after a couple weeks in the Top 25 are Boston University, who crashed out of New England regionals early. Those two are replaced by regional counterparts Virginia and Brown respectively, whose Regionals finishes have them enter the board at #20 and #24.

D-I Men’s Discussion
- A shock loss at Northwest Regionals drops Washington six spots down to #11. Meanwhile, regional champ Utah State are up to #16, having avoided the Sundodgers in Walla Walla. Oregon, who finished fourth in the region after a surprising loss of their own to British Columbia and without a single win over a ranked opponent all spring, fall out of the Top 25.
- The tightly packed group of non-qualifiers in New England each move around a little. A rough weekend for no.2 seed Tufts drops the Emen six spots to #20, allowing both Northeastern and McGill to move up ahead of them. Massachusetts are probably the toughest team in the country to rank, with their worst result of the spring — a loss to new #19 McGill — coming in the last game of their season. A fifth-place finish at Regionals hardly computes for a team with three wins over top 5 teams and an otherwise stellar record in 2022.
- It was a similar dogfight in the Atlantic Coast, as William & Mary stunned most prognosticators in claiming the region’s third bid, with two big wins over Maryland proving enough to advance. The Merry Men enter the Power Rankings at #21, just ahead of the slipping Space Bastards.

D-III Men’s Discussion
- Navy‘s dominant performance in claiming the lone Atlantic Coast bid to Nationals sees Poseidon leapfrog Claremont into the #7 spot on our board, and they could prove a dangerous opponent in Milwaukee. The region’s second- and third-placed teams, Richmond and Christopher Newport respectively, move one spot each, in opposite directions, to #9 and #12.
- The biggest news from the final weekend of Regionals was the unfortunate collapse of Carleton CHOP. With a roster devastated by a COVID outbreak, a short-handed CHOP couldn’t advance out of the North Central and fall down to #16 — a hard-luck end to an otherwise solid spring. Instead, it was Grinnell taking advantage of CHOP’s misfortunate, earning the region’s second bid to the College Championships and entering the Top 25 at #23.
