Gabriel Hernández is a teacher in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD). He is a part of both the DISD Racial Equity Office Advisory Council and Leadership ISD, where he helps combat systematic issues in education. He won the 2018 Callahan Award for his play at Stanford University, has competed with Austin Doublewide and the Dallas Roughnecks, played on the Color of Ultimate teams, and plays competitive disc golf.
