Flopping is not a traditional part of ultimate because the game has been self-officiated for decades. But with the rise of the pro leagues using referees, embellishment of fouls has cropped up in spots. Here’s one of the more blatant flops you will see caught on tape, from the AUDL’s Los Angeles Aviators 21-20 win over the San Diego Growlers:

That tweet, from the Growlers’ Dom Leggio, shows the Aviators’ Steven Brooks trying to draw an offensive foul (the refs, however, rung him up for a defensive foul). The Aviators twitter account tweeted back at Leggio (they have since deleted it):
