#24 UCLA Smaug kicked off SBI with a strong Saturday, going 2-1 with the only blemish a 2 point loss to BYU. But an 11-5 loss to #9 Cal Poly-SLO to start Sunday dampened the mood a bit. UC Berkeley Ursa Major also lost in their power pool game, but only by 1 point to Utah. Riley Kirkman-Davis would certainly like to get UCLA back in the driver's seat, but they'll have their hands full with Evan Magsig, Max Williams, and rookie Dexter Clyburn churning in Cal's offense.
