Constitution Owner Joins MLU As CFO, Team Appears Likely To Join MLU

Connecticut Constitution CEO Bryan Ricci announced via Facebook this afternoon that he is officially joining Major League Ultimate (MLU) as a high-level executive officer. Ricci also hinted that the Constitution was hoping to join MLU for its inaugural season. That part of the development was predicted by Ultiworld’s editors last week and has been considered a long-standing possibility by members of the community. Ricci’s statement is in full below, and stay tuned for more follow-ups on this story on Ultiworld tomorrow.

[quote]Effective today, I have officially joined the MLU core group of organizers as CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and in seeking to bring high quality fan based ultimate to the ultimate community and the new followers of professional ultimate. The integrity of this group and the knowledge base that they comprise, in my opinion, points to the best chance of success for the professional sport of ultimate.

Specific to the Connecticut Constitution, I have initiated conversations with this group to include the CTC organization and operations in the inaugural season of the MLU. These discussions are continuing. I stand firm in my belief that Connecticut is Ultimate and it is as much ultimate here as anywhere else that the sport is played.
