This weekend, the New York Empire (2-1) hosted the DC Breeze (1-2) in Manhattan in the first game of their three game set this season. For the Empire, this was their final game for the foreseeable future with PoNY captain Jack Marsh, who is set to travel to St. Louis to begin production on a circus.
Both teams entered the game with a loss to Toronto and a win over Rochester — who would jump ahead in the standings?
