Announcing a new series as part of the Ultiworld Film Room, our analysis and strategy videos available for subscribers! In this series, analyst Joseph Marmerstein will be going through common pull plays in ultimate, spanning a variety of offensive systems. Each video will focus on one play, covering design, variations and adjustments, and defensive approaches to stopping or limiting the play.

The first video in this series teaches general aspects of what makes a play effective, how to choose plays that fit your team, and how to make adjustments in-game based on the conditions or defense.     Joseph Marmerstein started playing ultimate as a freshman at Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied biomedical engineering and captained WashU Contra. A native of Cleveland, he has played with Lake Effect, caSTLe, Smokestack, Temper, and the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds. He is now a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University, where he coaches the women's team.
