Haverford/Bryn Mawr's electric do-it-all playmaker becomes the Sneetches' first Donovan winner

Haverford/Bryn Mawr’s Zoe Costanza was named the 2025 Donovan Award winner during D-III championship play on Monday. The four-time Nationals attendee becomes the first Haverford/Bryn Mawr player to win the award, and third from the Ohio Valley region.
Since her arrival on the Sneetches’ roster, Costanza has been a part of the most successful class in Haverford/Bryn Mawr’s program history. The class of 2025 has won three-straight Ohio Valley championships and earned a Nationals berth four years in a row, making it to the bracket each year. Costanza, the epitome of a human highlight reel, has put up a triple double in three college championship appearances, including this year.
It’s impossible not to notice Costanza on the field. Equally capable with and without the disc, her staple is a flying layout block into a fast break, either as the hucker or deep receiver. Her dogged physicality is a potent stopper against even the best the division has to offer and has no off switch, notching at least two blocks in every Nationals contest this year. Costanza’s dedication to the game and her team extends beyond on-field play, as she missed her senior graduation to compete in pool play with the Sneetches.
A clear field marshal with a point-and-shoot OI flick for miles, Costanza’s tenure as a captain this year brought with it, in her teammates’ words, “a word of encouragement, a high-five, or insightful advice for her teammates, and she pushes and supports them to be the best players they can be.”
The 2024 OPOTY runner-up and All-American First Teamer, Costanza’s resume, ability, leadership, and spirit are all what make her the 2025 Donovan Award winner.
