A seeding crossover rematch in the championship game! Who's taking home the mixed title at this year's Youth Club Championships?

Things in Aurora are heating up, and we’re not just talking about the 107 degree weather. Based on the action we’ve seen so far in the YCC Mixed Division, it’s shaping up to be one of the better, most well-executed championship games in a long time. Both finalists, Seattle Seven Hills and Lexington KOI have clean and clinical offense.
Throughout their weekend, Seven Hills looked dominant. Even when trailing, they didn’t seem shaken, and were instead comfortable in their offensive motions, especially in the small spaces. Seattle is known for their player development and this year’s group is no exception. Their throws are those of veterans, completing a majority of their deep shots and learning the finesse that generally can only develop over time. Keep an eye out for Brijesh Berrington, whose eye-popping 30 assists are a testament to his ability to crush his way through defenses and Helen Golden’s abilities to score breaks. To get to the finals, they had comfortable wins over both DC Swing Vote in the quarterfinal and Madison MUFAbots in the semi.
Seven Hills’ opponents, KOI, have seemingly come out of nowhere. In their first year, KOI sent shockwaves through the division as they ran their way to the final. The team started out with a bang, taking a 13-1 point victory over LA Sky. While the remainder of their games were closer, and they took a loss to Seven Hills in the crossover, they kept plugging along. Their play style featured a lot of quick offense — KOI move in flow, getting rid of the disc in a single stall count. Their team defense and tendency to have their feet on the gas at all times is reminiscent of the Lexington Pi+ team, their predecessors who won in 2021. Carter Malott and Jade Jonas will be the ones to watch in the final. Their bracket run consisted of a win over Dallas Nightfall in the quarter and Vanguard in the semi.
