Major League Ultimate will livestream all 43 games of the 2016 season, the league announced on its website today.
The MLU will focus more on the quantity of games produced than on having the highest quality production possible. From the press release:
With feedback from fans and players, and after looking at the numbers during the current offseason, the league realized that the most important concern when it comes to broadcasting sports is giving the fans the ability to watch the action live.
Live games will not only increase the off-site fan experience, but will lead to more accurate and timely stat-keeping, better turnaround for highlight production and a more visible activation of sponsorship.
All MLU games will still have the necessities of any live sports broadcast: Scoreboard, Game Clock, Graphics and Live Commentators. The priority is coverage, but the league is still committed to delivering the most professional and highest quality product possible.
All games will be archived on the league’s YouTube channel and tv.mlultimate.com.
