MLU Boston Whitecaps Announce Three Roster Additions, Including Malecek

Defending MLU champion became the latest professional team to announce roster moves, announcing that they have resigned three pivotal players from the 2013 team.

Brandon “Muffin” Malecek, Alex Simmons, and Jon Hirschberger will be playing with the Whitecaps in 2014. Malecek and Simmons also played with Boston-based club team (and USAU semifinalists) Ironside. Malecek is a marketable handler with deep throws — especially useful in the larger pro game — but he was the subject of some league controversy last season.
