MLU’s D.C. Current Returning Keegan, Kolick, and 5 Other Key Players

Washington D.C. is one of the cities that hosts two professional Ultimate teams, but the D.C. Current’s Wednesday signing announcement make it clear that MLU is likely to remain the major force in town.

The Current are bringing back Alan Kolick, Sean Keegan, Jeff Wodatch, David Cranston, Daniel Kantor, Calvin Oung, and Tom Doi. Most of those players (such as Kolick, Keegan, and Wodatch) were offensive line starters for the Current; Cranston traditionally plays a more defensive role for the Current and D.C. club team Truckstop. Collectively, the players represent a large chunk of the Current’s (and Truckstop’s) most valuable pieces in the 2013 season.

The Current finished 2nd in the MLU Eastern conference last season, edging out the New York Rumble. They failed to defeat the Boston Whitecaps in either the MLU regular season of Eastern Conference Championships.
