The Northwest Regional women's final featured one of the 21st century's most consistent nationals teams, Washington Element. Having attended 10 of the past 12 championship events, with a title in 2012 and a runner up spot in 2009, UW has capitalized on the success of Seattle's middle and high school programs. Also riding that wave of young talent is Western Washington Chaos, a team that hadn't cracked the nationals scene until 2014, but who has qualified for four of the past six championships events.
