Club Update 2026: A Quiet Weekend Before The Final Sprint

Even during a quiet national weekend, there were regional matchups to pay attention to.

Women’s Division

It was a lighter week of competition as only two regional tournaments took place on the women’s side.

Around the Division

  • Bay Area FAB, the No.4 seed, got by San Diego Wildfire, the No.2 seed, by a tight 10-9 scoreline in the final of the Ski Town Classic. Wildfire knocked out the top seed Utah Dark Sky 12-8 in a semifinal and rebounded from a 10-8 pool play loss to San Antonio Problems, while FAB also bounced back from a pool play loss to Dark Sky, falling 11-6 before making a run to the championship game.
  • Sunnyvale Void Cat Rewind finished the one-day Surf ‘n Turf tournament with an unblemished 3-0 record. Their closest game was a 13-7 victory over Long Beach Just Add Water as they ended with a 37-13 score differential.

Looking Ahead

Next week features the next stop on the Triple Crown Tour Series as the Elite-Select Challenge takes center stage. In action will be #5 San Francisco Nightlock, #9 Philadelphia Flight, #10 San Diego Flipside, #13 Dallas Dimes, #14 Pittsburgh Parcha, #15 Minneapolis Pop, #16 Northampton Starling, #18 Madison Heist, #20 Chicago Nemesis, #21 Vancouver Traffic, #23 Colorado Kelp, #24 Austin Vengeance, and #25 Washington DC Grit.

Regional action includes Ow My Knee!, Royal Experience, and Up for Grabs. The World Ultimate Club Championships continues through the 22nd, with livestreams on Ultiworld all tournament long!

Men’s Division

Around the Division

  • Denver Fungi completed an undefeated Ski Town Classic with a 13-4 win over San Antonio Alamode in the final. The No.3 seed had previously bested Alamode, the No.2 seed, in pool play 13-6. Notably, the top seed Lehi Wretched Refuse finished 1-1 in power pool play and was eliminated in the Round of 16, while Salt Lake City Powderhogs rose up from the non-power pools to finish fourth, including a close 12-11 defeat to Alamode in a semifinal.

Next week features the next stop on the Triple Crown Tour Series as the Elite-Select Challenge takes center stage. In action will be #7 Minneapolis Sub Zero, #10 Philadelphia Pacmen, #11 Atlanta Chain Lightning, #12 Austin Doublewide, #14 Raleigh-Durham United, #15 Denver Johnny Bravo, #17 Vancouver Furious George, #19 Chicago Haymaker, #20 SoCal Condors, #23 Virginia Vault, #24 Madison Mad Men, and #25 Portland Red Tide.

Regional action includes Ow My Knee!, Midas the III, SOUF City Showdown, Royal Experience, and Rumspringa Round Robin. The World Ultimate Club Championships continues through the 22nd, with livestreams on Ultiworld all tournament long!

Mixed Division

The mixed division this past weekend was the busiest division, with three regional tournaments taking place.

Around the Division

  • It was home-state success for Princeton Jughandle, who came from the sixth seed to finish 6-0 at Turnpike Throwdown, including a 15-8 win over Wilmington Delabear in the championship battle. Jughandle had previously played Delabear in pool play, winning a close 13-12 game. Delabear made it to the final after a one-point win over Washington DC HVAC, the No.7 seed, who took down No.1 Richmond Revival 11-10 in a quarterfinal.
  • #16 Salt Lake City Sego was the only Ultiworld power-ranked team in action this past weekend and lived up to the billing with a commanding performance at the Ski Town Classic. Sego finished with a 39-8 score differential in pool play and defeated No.9 Minnesota Star Power in both pool play and in the final. Star Power enjoyed a strong run as well, capped by a 13-10 win over No.2 Austin Moontower.
  • No.1 Indianapolis Spectre bested all challengers en route to the title at Cooler Classic 37. Their final was a 15-8 win over No.13 Milwaukee Northern Comfort, who was undefeated up until that point. The tournament featured a Swiss draw-style format during the four pool play rounds.

Regional action includes Spawnfest and Ow My Knee!. The World Ultimate Club Championships continues through the 22nd, with livestreams on Ultiworld all tournament long!
