World Champion Disc Golfer Paige Pierce Practices with an Ultrastar

Five-time world champion and world #1 Paige Pierce is out with a new YouTube video today that talks about how she uses an Ultrastar to improve her disc golf game.

Paige Pierce Ultrastar

Ultrastars are legal on the disc golf course, but you aren’t going to see them in players’ bags very often. Still, Pierce, who is sponsored by Discraft, says that using Ultrastars off the course has made her on-course game even better.

“Recently, I realized that my catch sessions with my friends were helping me dramatically on the greens,” she said.

“Just a couple years ago, I was known as a long-distance thrower and a good long range putter, but I didn’t really have much of an upshot game or a wooded game,” she added. “That is, until I started playing catch with my friends and using the Ultrastar day to day…I think that this transition has helped me become a more well-rounded player.”
