Virginia’s Alika Johnston was awarded the 2015 Callahan Award during halftime of the FSU/Oregon Men’s semifinal.

Johnston has led the development of the UVA program from a Regionals level team into an elite contender. She’s not only at the top level of the College Division; 2013 Callahan winner Claire Chastain called her the “best offensive handler” in the Club Division. She has been a superior talent for years and has been the heartbeat of the Hydra team since she came in as a freshman.

She is a fierce competitor, but kind and spirited. She was widely considered the favorite for the award this year.
