Tomorrow afternoon, representatives from USA Ultimate and DiscNY will be at Prospect Park for the Nickelodeon Day of Play, an event designed to encourage kids to get outside and be active, accompanied by a three hour blackout on Nickelodeon’s TV channel.
From 10 AM to 4 PM, dozens of affiliated organizations, including USAU, the National Football League, and the National Basketball Association, will be presenting activities and information for children and their families.
“Nickelodeon has created a great platform to inspire kids to get outside and play and USA Ultimate is happy to be a part of that,” said USA Ultimate Manager of Education & Youth Programs Mike Lovinguth. “Kids will experience ultimate at the Worldwide Day of Play celebration in Brooklyn and through other grassroots events nationwide. Organizers and kids alike can even find a quick-start guide to ultimate on the Worldwide Day of Play website. We’re hoping our local ultimate associations participate in this experience as well and get out and PLAY!”
Tickets are sold out for the event, but Ultiworld will be on site to capture the action.
