As many have already noticed, USA Ultimate’s tournament management system Score Reporter has been undergoing maintenance over the past week and is no longer fully functional. Tournaments have been lost in the mix as the main Score Reporter page — scores.usaultimate.org — has been supplanted by a largely incomplete scorereport.net.
Following the outcomes of games at Warm Up and the Pres Day Invite was a headache as scores were going unreported; some of this weekend’s tournaments don’t even have attending teams listed.
Andy Lee, the Director of Communications for USA Ultimate, told Ultiworld:
We’re currently working with the owner/operator of the Score Reporter to transition it to a non-USA Ultimate server, where it will remain available for use as we prepare for the launch of our IT system’s new fully integrated event builder and score reporting functions sometime in the next several weeks.
In the long-term, this will be a huge positive, as the current servers have been unable to handle heavy loads during Championship events. USAU had to restart the servers multiple times per day during the 2013 Club Championships to keep Score Reporter up.
For now, though, it has made following tournament action difficult. For historic data, consider using the recently created Ultiarchive. For the latest, try using ScoreReport.net — leaving bugs and issues here in the comments should help it get to full capacity more quickly.
