Question of the Week: “I think ultimate’s growth issues are a lot more about infrastructure, rules conservatism, and a homogenous player base that’s largely built at elite colleges rather than a diverse one built in PE classes and at recess.”
I totally agree with the statement above from your last mailbag. In regards to youth, I think infrastructure and a homogenous (largely upper middle class and white) player base are the chief problems related to stagnant growth in the sport. I’m sharing some of my thoughts on this and would love to hear more from you about what you see as paths forward.
