It is Felton's first game without a turn!
June 20, 2026 by Paul Würtztack in Analysis

Welcome to Better Box Scores’ coverage of the semi-pro seasons. It is anchored by EDGE, which converts goals, assists, blocks, turnovers, and yards gained into one metric, while accounting for the scoring and turnover environment.
Now that we’re far enough into the UFA season that each team has played at least five games, we will assess the current main contenders for post-season player awards. We have been offering our SeasonRater rankings each week, which we equate with the MVP award, but today we’ll break it down into the leaders of each component for a fuller picture.
To keep things succinct, we’ll just present the metric scores through Week 8; all the player stats can be found in the last table. The latest edition of the BBSM Reference Page should answer most questions about the metrics themselves. We’ll start with EDGE, our overall net production metric.
Who’s Piling Up Total Production? (EDGE-O, EDGE-B, EDGE)
Because some teams have played nine games while others have only played five, we’re showing EDGE-O, EDGE-B, EDGE on a per-team game basis; that is, a player’s season total divided by the number of games their team (not the player himself) has played (Table 1). Tobe Decraene’s 6.8 effort against DC moved him up, but Alex Atkins has set a blistering pace through nine games and will be hard to catch.
