Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Anatoly Vasilyev was introduced to the sport of ultimate by a Swedish frisbee delegation touring around eastern Europe. He has a decorated history: he has won a number of Russian Championships, played with Team Russia at European and World Championships, and has two Canadian College championships titles. In 2008, as a part of Team Canada, he won Gold at Worlds in Vancouver. He currently resides in Toronto and plays on GOAT.
