After a wild first day at the Chesapeake Invite that included a Sub Zero upset over Ironside, there are a number of possible playoff scenarios in Pool A. Here is what could happen depending on the outcome of this morning’s final round of pool play.
All of these scenarios assume an Ironside win over High Five, which will guarantee them a spot in the bracket.
If Sub Zero beats GOAT: Sub Zero will be the #1 seed and Ironside will be the #2 seed.
If GOAT beats Sub Zero…
…by one goal: Ironside will be the #1 seed, Sub Zero will be the #2 seed.
…by two goals: Ironside will be the #1 seed, GOAT will be the #2 seed.
…by three+ goals: GOAT will be the #1 seed, Ironside will be the #2 seed.
Now, if Ironside were to lose to High Five, Sub Zero would be guaranteed a spot in the bracket. GOAT could get in over Ironside with a win against Sub Zero, but a loss would leave them on the outside with the head-to-head loss to Boston.
