Angela Lin and Steve Sullivan have been announced as the newest members of the USA Ultimate board of directors. The governing body released preliminary results of the election this evening after voting ended this afternoon.
Lin — who is a member of the USAU Hall of Fame and has been heavily involved in the founding of the PUL — defeated Ian Toner to claim the elite-athlete position vacated by Heather Ann Brauer. Sullivan came out ahead of four others running for the at-large seat, with Kyle Weisbrod his closest competition. He will replace the outgoing DeAnna Ball.
Both new board members will serve three-year terms starting January 1, 2020.
Full disclosure: Sullivan is Ultiworld’s Executive Editor.
