USAU Club Championships Headed Back to Sarasota For 2017, San Diego In 2018-19

USA Ultimate today announced the locations and dates for the next three Club Championships.

The 2017 Club Championships are headed back to Sarasota this October 19-22. While the city hosted 13 consecutive Nationals from 2000-2012, the event will move from the traditional Sarasota Polo Club venue to a new field site five miles away at the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch. USAU CEO Tom Crawford cited the popularity of Sarasota with players as a key factor in bringing Nationals back to Florida.

San Diego, which has hosted three previous Club Championships,1 was chosen as the site of the Club Championships for the 2018 (Oct. 18-21) and 2019 (Oct. 24-27) seasons. Those events will take place at the Surf Cup Sports Facility in Del Mar.

The 2018 Club Championships will coincide with the sport’s 50th anniversary celebration.
