Over 1100 backers pledged more than $85,000 to the World Flying Disc Federation’s successful World Championships video production Kickstarter.
The campaign reached its $75,000 goal earlier this week, and, just minutes before the conclusion of the Kickstarter, reached the $10,000 stretch goal to stream up to another three games per day on a separate field from the main showcase.
WFDF has promised “world-class caliber” broadcasts of more than 20 games livestreamed for free (plus the additional 10+ games on the second field), more than 10 mini-documentaries, the mixed division final and Worlds highlights featured on a broadcast cable channel like CBS Sports Network, and a documentary of the tournament itself.
The World Championships run from June 18-25, 2016, in London, England.
