Whistle Sports, an online sports video platform that connects corporate brands with sports-based publishers and “unconventional” sports, just closed a $28 million funding round featuring investments from Emil Capital Partners, Liberty Global Ventures, and Peyton Manning.
Whistle Sports prominently features both Brodie Smith and Major League Ultimate as clients on their homepage.
The news is yet another signal that there is continued strength in sports programming as well as bullishness about the future of online streaming video.
