A deep run into the bracket was expected for both of these teams, but #4 Brown Brownian Motion required late game heroics to sneak past #16 NC State in the quarters before handing #1 UNC their second loss of the weekend. #3 Colorado Mamabird followed their undefeated run at Prez Day with 6 more wins in Knoxville. Both teams are seeking consecutive tournament crowns as they face off in the SMI final.
