Philadelphia Spinners Owner Talks About Leaving The AUDL, New Pro League

by in News, Video with 4 Comments

Jeff Snader, the owner and general manager of the Philadelphia Spinners, talked with Steve Lienert, a (former) American Ultimate Disc League referee, about leaving the AUDL.

He also briefly discusses a new professional league. “We have started a new league…,” said Snader. “Major league ultimate will be here.” There is already a shell website for MLU up, indicating a start date of October 15th, 2012.

The Spinners — the inaugural champions of the AUDL — were by most measures the most successful franchise in the league. Their inaugural game had attendance of over 1500 people. Their decision to leave the AUDL will have an immediate negative impact on the league.
