Two years after a merger with VC Ultimate, Spin is restructuring its pricing and apparel line to again appeal to players and teams with a mid-range budget.
VC has long operated as a top-quality, high-budget brand and, during the merger, Spin ended up offering similar products at similar prices. “Our brands were competing against each other, basically,” said VC Spin President, and previous Spin owner, Dan Konisky. “We didn’t have great differentiation between the Spin and VC brands, and our customers let us know that they missed the old Spin product line.”
Spin wants to return to where it was before the merger, offering good quality, consistency, and price.
Prices are dropping on products across the board. Fully sublimated jerseys are going from $64 to $59. Spin’s short sleeve jersey is now a tremendous deal at $19, and their standard long sleeve jersey has dropped from $32 to $23. Furthermore, all youth teams get $2 off base prices on all gear.
Over the last six months, Spin has developed an entirely new production process that will allow them to offer a range of new products, awesome new fabrics, rush service options, and more. This month alone, Spin will release 4 new fully sublimated products: Neckies, Reversible Tanks, Track Pants, and matching Jackets.
“I’m really excited about our new capabilities,” said Konisky. “It lets us get back to our roots: high quality gear at affordable prices so that we can help outfit as many teams as possible. The new pricing structure also makes us best positioned to service youth and college teams who want great quality gear that fits their tighter budgets.”
As a part of the product and pricing overhaul, Spin has rebranded and launched a new website. They will continue to offer their signature styles and designs while serving as one of the largest on-the-ground merchandisers at tournaments around the country.
