Yesterday, Ultiworld first reported that the 2017 American Ultimate Disc League Championships were going to be held in Montreal, Quebec. The AUDL later made an official announcement with the release of a video featuring sweeping panoramas of Montreal and game footage from inside the Montreal Royal’s home venue, Molson Stadium at McGill University:

The dates for the Championship Weekend are set: August 26-27, 2017. This Championship falls two weeks later in the calendar than any previous one1, which could suggest changes to the playoffs or season structure. The weekend falls between the USA Ultimate Triple Crown Tour’s Elite-Select Challenge (Aug. 19-20) and the Pro Flight Finale (Sept. 2-4).
Previously, the Championships have been held in early August or late July. 2012’s Championship was held on August 11th, which currently holds the record for the latest on the calendar. ↩
