Sideline Talk is Ultiworld’s subscriber-only podcast about the people and personalities of ultimate. Charlie Eisenhood hosts long form, in-depth interviews with marquee figures in the sport.
Hector Valdivia is one of the longest tenured coaches in ultimate, leading the Wisconsin Hodags as head coach since 2009 after playing with the team in the early 2000s and winning a championship in 2003. Valdivia was also an early adopter of blogging about ultimate (here’s the blog mentioned in the show) and has been an influential thinker about the sport. Tune in to hear from Hector about teaching, coaching, why he keeps coming back to Wisconsin, family, competition, and more.
