I guess it is time to start playing out how tournaments would have looked. This should be a fun exercise.
Now, these were not the finalized pools — there were actually four different sets of pools being discussed — but these were I think the most likely to be the ones that got used, or close enough anyway. Here they are.
Reminder: Easterns does not have a prequarters round. Top two teams from pool play go straight to quarters: A1/B2, C2/D1, C1/D2, A2/B1.
