We regret to report that the 2020 edition of the High School National Invite is being canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The tournament was scheduled to take place on June 12th and 13th outside of Chicago.

The tournament organizing committee — Great Lakes Ultimate Events, CUT Camps, and Ultiworld — made the decision to cancel because of great uncertainty about future events, particularly those that require significant travel and planning from teams. Many teams that had accepted bids were forced to cancel their plans to attend in recent weeks due to restrictions from local authorities or their schools. Additionally, very little high school ultimate has even taken place this spring, making a meaningful bid allocation process impossible.

It’s heartbreaking not to be able to host one of the most exciting events on the high school ultimate calendar. The tournament is set to return in 2021 bigger and better than ever, and we look forward to a robust high school season preceding it.
