Still no decision on the XEUCF

The European Ultimate Federation recently sent an email out to national federations with a calendar of upcoming events scheduled at the European and World level. This includes World Masters Ultimate Club Championships (WMUCC), which has previously not been officially communicated. WMUCC will take place in Limerick, Ireland, in June 2022. There will be a full calendar for masters club teams, as the EUF is also planning a European masters club championship in April.
So far, the EUF has not made a final decision on the XEUCF in Bruges later this year. The Bruges City council did meet on June 15th to decide whether or not to hold the tournament, but the TOC of the XEUCF said that they wouldn’t have final answers on whether or not they can hold the event until later this month. The EUF expects to communicate the final decision in early July.
Finally, the EUF is announcing the EUF Elite Invite in April of next year. This is the first time the EUF is hosting a club event outside of the main EUCS. Invitations to this event will be given to the top eight teams from each division at the 2021 XEUCF and is part of the EUF’s ambition to transition to a full European level club season in the coming years.
