The weather on Saturday at Smoky Mountain Invite was as gorgeous as you can ask for. The ultimate, though? Bizarre, tiring, teasing, heartbreaking. The changes in fortune for teams and regions were all over the map, liable to turn on a round or a point. One minute, unranked Tennessee Prohibition are taking #9 Vermont Chill to the cleaners, and #13 Pittsburgh En Sabah Nur are coasting after wrapping up their Pool of Death with upsets in the first two games, and Georgia Tech Tribe are putting the finishing touches on a redemptive 3-0 slate of pool play games. The next, pool play bottom feeders 0-3 #14 Michigan MagnUM and Vermont score near-simultaneous universe point upsets to wreck Pitt’s and Georgia Tech’s days, and Tennessee run out of steam to fade into the background.

#2 Oregon Ego dropped a game. #6 UC Santa Cruz Slugs dropped a game. #5 UNC Darkside dropped two. #3 UMass Zoodisc — they’ll get their own breakout below — blew a metaphorical tire, lost three games, and lurched into the chumpionship bracket. It was a baffling experience all around.

How to make sense of it? There’s only one method known to humankind: the Stockwatch. In a volatile market, we’ll counsel you one what to buy, sell, and hold based on today’s new information.
