Middlebury Pranksters Win the 2026 Men’s D-III College Championships

Even a lightning delay couldn't stymie Middlebury, who never trailed in a complete 15-7 victory over Carleton CHOP

#1 Middlebury Pranksters are your 2026 D-III Men’s National Champions, dismantling #3 Carleton-CHOP in a 15-7 blowout that understates just how good the Pranksters were. Middlebury broke CHOP on the first point of the game, the fourth and fifth points of the game, and never looked back from there. Not even a 100 minute weather delay could slow down the Pranksters, who won the first half 8-4 and the second half 7-3.

Carleton’s offense never looked comfortable during the game. Cuts were tentative, resets were overlooked, and passes were forced into covered areas. The Pranksters’ Nadav Melamede played one of the best games of his career in the final, posting 2G/3A to lead the counter attack, while his one block undersells how strong he was playing lockdown defense. Melamede took on the Max Resnik matchup for most points: Resnik had just two goals, his lowest output of the weekend.

Louis Douville Beaudoin cemented his POTY campaign with the win, as well. One goal, five assists, two blocks, and no turnovers was his stat line in the final. He finishes the weekend with an absurd line: 18G/16A/4D/1T. Oscar de Swaan Arons scored four goals, Liam Reynolds had three blocks, and Geir Hartl had three assists in other standout performances for the Pranksters.

Stay tuned to Ultiworld for a full-length recap, while subscribers can relive all the weekend’s action in our video library. For now, the Pranksters are D-III champions for the third time in program history. Congratulations, Middlebury!
