Thoreson's limited appearances have been MVP-quality.

Welcome to Better Box Scores’ coverage of the semi-pro seasons. It is anchored by EDGE, which converts goals, assists, blocks, turnovers, and yards gained into one metric, while accounting for the scoring and turnover environment.
Zeke Thoreson has only played five UFA games this year; we’ve rated three of them among the top 40 of the entire season, and this weekend’s was his best. Only Mamabird teammate Elliot Hawkins in Week 6 had a bigger game than Thoreson’s 740 yards, eight scores, two blocks, and 0 turnover performance in helping Carolina edge past Atlanta, again (Table 1).
Somehow, despite playing in fewer than half of the Flyer’s games, Thoreson is 10th in our SeasonRater (MVP) rankings (Table 3). While his cumulative stats are limited by his game count, his rates are high across the board, including his league-leading Player Efficiency Rating of 140, 40 percent better than the league average, thanks to having just two turns on 2620 total yards (Table 3).
