Alert the presses. There’s been a murder in Aurora, Colorado. And don’t you worry, Detective Yours Truly is on the case.
Apologies if I alarmed you, no real felonies have been committed at Aurora Sports Park this weekend, but in a metaphorical sense at day one of the US Open. We know the location, but, much like the game of Clue, we need to know the person (or team in this case,) and their means. To figure that out, some motive and alibi would also be helpful. So, sleuths, no more beating around the bush, let’s dive in and look at our victims and all of our potential suspects at this dinner party.
The Victims
In the case of the US Open Murder Mystery, we first should get to know our victims. Pay our respects and eulogize them, as you will. Here lies: #8 Austin Disco Club, Bucaramunga Voltaje, #20 Huntsville Space Force, and #12 Seattle Mixtape. Rest In Peace1. To relate them to the 1985 American cult classic film adaptation of the board game Clue2, we’ve got (respectively) our Mr. Boddy, our maid and singing telegram girl, our motorist, and our chef.
This year’s showing was strong, but unfortunately, some teams have to take the bullet of not making to to quarters. Let’s start with Mr. Boddy, embod(d)ied by Austin Disco Club.
