USA Ultimate announced yesterday the head coaches that will lead the country’s delegation of teams at the 2021 World Championships of Beach Ultimate. Samantha Broaddus (women’s), John Groess (mixed), and Bryan Jones (men’s) will be at the helm for the US National Teams in their pursuit of gold.
Jones is the only coach returning with previous national team experience, having led the 2017 WCBU team. Both he and Groess have also served as WUGC team selection assistants this past year. Broaddus (née McClellan), who earned bronze with the US Mixed team at WCBU in 2015, is new to the national team coaching pool, having most recently coached Washington DC Grit in the club division.
Dates and the location of the tournament, hosted by the World Flying Disc Federation, have not yet been announced.
