Yesterday, Raleigh Flyers handler Jon Nethercutt was named the AUDL Most Valuable Player in the 2017 season.
Nethercutt led the Flyers to a South Division title with a franchise-best 13-1 record in the regular season. He threw 71 assists this year, third best in the league, with a 94.4% completion percentage and also delivered 13 goals and seven blocks. He also had over 500 touches and zero drops; he was the only player in the league to accomplish that feat.
Although the AUDL MVP voting committee is not disclosed, the league reports that Nethercutt was a unanimous choice.
