Tulane and Florida met in the quarterfinals of 2016 Southeast Regionals. Florida came out strong and built a 6-3 lead, but Tulane chipped away and closed the gap early in the second half. Note: When Bobby Ley took the timeout at 0:44, Florida technically had no timeouts remaining, which would normally warrant a turnover. However, there was a miscommunication between the coaches before the point; Florida coach Cyle van Auken believed that Tulane had indicated they had an additional timeout during the cap. Tulane ultimately agreed to allow Florida to keep possession but not take a full timeout.
