Right now, there are only a handful of people involved in one of the most important decisions that ultimate has faced in quite a while. The 18 elite men’s teams, who have now signed letters of intent to move forward with the NexGen league, have an incredible amount of power right now to determine the future of men’s club ultimate. They are in discussions with NexGen founder Kevin Minderhout and top USA Ultimate administrators.
That’s basically it. Currently, those three parties — NexGen, USAU, and the players on the 18 selected teams — are shaping the future of club ultimate (there are likely to be spillover effects on the Mixed and Women’s divisions).
But what do you think? What’s the best move for the sport? What do you hope these teams will decide? Take the poll below and let us know. We will aggregate answers and report the results.
