Central Florida coach Andrew Roca issued this statement today about the roster situation that could deprive UCF of their strength bid earned for the Southeast. USA Ultimate has agreed to allow UCF to move forward in the series despite a late roster submission and playing at tournaments throughout the spring (except Easterns) with an ineligible player. Roca writes:
We are grateful for USAU to play in the series and we accept and agree with their decisions given the circumstances. We appreciate the work and effort our University and USAU have put in to resolve the matter quickly and efficiently. We understand the implications to the region, however the series is the series. Winning is all that matters now and we as a team are prepared to end our season at our best.
