The news cycle is quickening in the professional leagues, so here is a roundup of offseason news out of the MLU.
– The league has announced a bevy of new sponsors, including Skippy Peanut Butter, US Coachways, and KanJam.
– Innova extended their deal for three years for the Pulsar to be the official game disc of the MLU.
– The Vancouver Nighthawks re-signed Morgan Hibbert and others. Defending champions DC Current have re-signed ten players from last year’s roster, including Jeff Wodatch, Tom Doi, and David Cranston. Bigger signings are rumored to be forthcoming.
– The league is no longer running its own online store; it will now work with Disc Store to fulfill gear orders.
– Liz Penny is joining San Francisco as an assistant coach. Addison Magness has replaced Nathan Schorsch as GM of the Portland Stags.
– The league announced a new Player Advisory Committee that will meet with the front office on a monthly basis.
– Commissioner Jeff Snader and VP Nic Darling were candid in a Q&A on Reddit in December.
